Hello writers!
I enjoyed meeting you all and working with you in class. (I'll post this same message to the class blog.)
You should have received an invitation to be an author in the class blog. It's an educational experiment for me and if you decide to participate in the class blog, whether by reading it or posting your work on it or making comments, thank you. I hope to use it as a tool to enhance the work we do each week.
The two things I think I'll post onto the blog each Wednesday is a summary of what we did in class (for those who missed class and want to do the exercises on their own) and remind you to post the homework.
The homework due by 1PM on Wednesday this week (and every week) is to develop a piece you started in class.
Some options: Type in word for word what you handwrote in class; continue the piece you started in class but weren't able to finish; write something new inspired by something you started in class.
Guidelines:
1. Create a new post (500 words maximum) under the title write "Class 1 Homework: Title of Your Piece (if you have a title)"
2. Use your first name or make up a name. By signing up for a free account, I believe you will also be able to create your own personal blog pretty easily so go for it, if you think it will be helpful.
3. This blog isn't listed on any search engines or anything, but it is accessible to the public if they stumble across it or find out the address.
4. No one, but you and I will be able to submit comments or posts to the blog.
5. It's your learning space so post anything writing related that you think will be of interest or help the class around the work we're doing.
This is an educational experiment and I appreciate that you're willing to try it. Have fun!
And email me or call me if you have any questions. Or post a question to the blog and we can try to all address it.
Best,
Grace
